Industrial Ventilation System
Ventilation systems that remove hot and toxic air from the working area and bring in fresh air.
Our ventilation systems remove hot and toxic gases from the working area and supply fresh air in their place. They suit most industrial and commercial buildings, especially where many people are working or where heat, steam or dust has to be taken out.
How it works
A fan, with ducting and in many cases a filter section, extracts contaminated or hot air from the working area. Replacement air comes in through openings or a supply system, so that the air in the space is changed regularly.
The air volume is worked out from the heat load, the contaminants released and the size and use of the space.
Typical arrangement
General layout for this type of equipment. The final arrangement depends on your plant.
- Fresh air inlet
- Filter box
- Fan
- Ducting
- Working area
Types and configurations
| Extraction ventilation | Removes hot, steam- or dust-laden air from the work area. |
|---|---|
| Supply with filtration | Brings in filtered fresh air. |
Maintenance
- Filters should be cleaned or replaced when the pressure drop rises.
- Fans and drives need routine bearing and belt checks.
Often specified with
- Pressurised Ventilation SystemFiltered air supply that keeps the room at a higher pressure than outside, so dust cannot enter.
- Centrifugal FanSISW and DIDW centrifugal fans with backward or forward curved impellers, built to the duty you need.
- Evaporative Cooling SystemAir washer type evaporative coolers, factory assembled, for large halls where air conditioning is not economical.
